Wiring Dual DVC's For 2 ohm(pics)
I went to the rockford website and looked up how to wire my subs. They are Pioneer Comp DVC 12"s, 2 ohm or 8 ohm. I am wondering is this the right way to wire them for 2 ohms? Thanx!

I think you have to wire each voice coil in parellel not in series like you have them. It depends on how many ohms each coil is rated at. If it's 4.... then u have a 4 ohm setup there. If they're 2 ohm coils then it's a 2 ohm setup and so on.

from what i interpret, they are 4-ohm voice coils, since you said they can indivudually be 2 (parallel) or 8 (series)... if you wire two 8-ohm speakers in parallel, you get a 4-ohm load.. so if you wire the individual coils in series, and then the two subs in parallel (like the picture shows), you've got 4 ohms.. unless i messed something up, you're gonna get either 1 or 4 ohms, but you can't get 2...

read those links and learn how to understand them. its impossible to do what you want ... my dual 12w6 DVC's ran a 1.5ohm load ... can't get a 2ohm load. Find an amp thats .5 or 1ohm stable and you'll be fine. no cheapies!!
