need some expertice(badly)

ok i came back to this board b/c i cant get any other response from the tccoa board, i now own a 95 thunderbird, even though my parents wont let me buy a 89 trans am.i thought since this is car audio you guys could help me ok here goes.

Head Unit:Pioneer DEH-P7400MP

Front speakers:Pioneer TS-A6867 6"x8" 3-way Speakers

Back speakers:PIONEER TS-D680R 6X8

i have no clue on subs or amps, i figure that ill just have the new hu an speakers so what amp would give me flexabiltiy to add subs at a later time. i kinda want to stay pioneer, but if theres a better choice ill take it. thatnks for your time

Pioneers IMPP are fairly good entry level subs. Decent output and SQ. For an amp I would go elsewhere....like RF,MTX, Kicker and such.

Car: 85 IROC-Z / 88 GTA
Engine: 403 LSx (Pending) / 355 Tuned Port
Transmission: T56 Magnum (Pending) / T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 / ?
I'm not a fan of pioneer speakers, but that's a personal preference thing anyway. BUT, I would suggest using the same model for the front and back. By using 2 different model lines, you're going to wind up with totally different sound characteristics front and rear, which in addition to destroying your image, can make for some fugly sound. Having the same model & even size in all 4 locations is best, but not practical. Having at least the same model in all 4 locations is the next best thing.

Car: too many ...
I agree with Jim ... stay with the same brand model front and rear ... And as far as the amps, I think you could just run the speakers off the deck and it would be fine. When you finally do put in subs then pick up the amps and take the system to the next level.

With the headunit ... I have last years model and its doing alright for me.

And at night!

The day pics is horrible cause the glare i had.

The only thing I dislike is 2 sets of preouts but I managed with this one. Only difference is cosmetic, same specs. as mine. I really should flush mount is soon but got worse things to worry about.

Head Unit: Very Nice :-)

Front Speakers: (Almost) the same as mine

Rear Speakers: Use the same speakers all around.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
As previously mentioned by others, going with different type
speakers will kill your overall sound.. If you want it to sound good, get the same exact speaker in different sizes as needed.
As for some subs and an amp, I would say go find something in..

I bought that head unit a couple of months back for $240 (after shipping) and I love it. I have had no problems with it and the built in crossover is great (no need to buy bass blockers for my speakers). It also lets me control the output level of my sub so there is no need to get into the trunk.

I bought this head unit because my brother has it in his truck and I really like it. Only thing is he paid $340 for the same one -- I told him not to use cruthfield because their prices are high, but he didn't listen :P
