What are yalls options o nthe Autotek line of amps? I'm talking about their high line of amps, such as the Stealth series and such. I would like to know how they sound for an SQ system. I'm on a budget and I am not going to compete or anything, I would just like a good sounding system. Thanx.

uhh.. never even seen one before, much less used it.. looking at the specs for the xs-900.4, it looks like a pretty decent piece of equipment.. SN >100db, THD <0.015%.. 400 rms x 2.. at $540? im not sure that qualifies as an inexpensive amp, but looks alright to me.. maybe someone who's used one could enlighten us further?

i would love to hear from someone that has actually used one, i asked about them before, i was told "Stick with the known names" well imho if nobody has the guts to try a new brand, then how in the world will anyone know if there good or not, its like someone had to try the kicker, jl, memphis, amps etc...... before they became well known, but if everyone had said "dont use them i never heard of em before, no one would have ever tried em"

sorry to rant, but sometimes i get sick of people saying oh never heard of em, must be junk

i myself have the SS series of Autotek amps and i am quite happy with its preformance thus far. I have the SS300.2 hooked up to 2 MTX 4000's 10's in a sealed box and they sound very nice. nothing against the mtx, i love mtx, but these are they lower line of subs and i plan on gettting some higher quality subs, along the lines of a boston pro or 2. The only other amps i have had in this car have been a crappy pyramid and ever more crappy boss, so i have not really heard any other amps to compare this one too. I have heard my friends rockford and mtx and whatnot, and i think this one sounds excellent in comparison, but our cars make for good bass response too. i have never heard the higher lines and i would just like someone who might have heard them give me there input. thanx.

The autotek amps are a very good amp. I don't think I could count the number of people I know with them. I have little experience with them myself but from the systems I've heard with them they are great for the money. If you are on a budget try out the JBL 1200.1 They can be had for 285 shipped and put out a clean 1300-1400 watts.

My friend has one of these in his 69' bel air, pretty damned mean amp, just he needs better subs.

MX1300
Mono Bridge into 4 Ohms, at 14.4V 1210Wx1
Mono Bridge into 2 Ohms, at 14.4V 1630Wx1

Its driving 2 15's and 2 10's, definetly slams, but he needs a cap, power to just about everything cuts if he turns it up too much

Soon i'll be picking up these two:

SX2300
Mono Bridge into 4 Ohms, at 14.4V 700Wx1
Mono Bridge into 2 Ohms, at 14.4V 800Wx1

SX4160
4 Ohm at 12V 81Wx4

And possibly another SX2300, depending upon the subs i get.
