Need some clean bass...
Back in the day I used to run a R/F punch 40 amp bridged to a pair of punch 12's, as well as some pioneer amps to run the front rear speakers and tweeters. Alot of that sold with my Beretta a few years back. I still have one box(looks a little bigger than 1 cubic foot) for a 12 inch sub and the punch 40 amp(couldn't part with it). My current set-up is ok with a pioneer CD and good pioneer 2-way 4's in the front and 6 1/4 2-ways in the rear. I have plenty of mid/treble, but no bass. I want some nice clean bass. What moderately priced sub will work in my situation.
thanks,
thanks,

For the price, I really like the GT series from JBL. They are a pretty clean and loud sub. Crutchfield has the GT 10's for $60 right now and they only need 275watts RMS max. Just my .02

I'm not sure what you mean by "moderately priced," but you can pick up Crossfire DVC 12" subs for about $70. I've heard a few of them, and they're not bad. I think the best bang for your buck would be to go for either a JL12W0 for $120 or a Kicker Comp 12 for $120. If you like the new Rockford enty level subs, I think you can pick up a 12 for about $60, but I'm not really fond of their series 1 subs. If you want your bass to be loud and as clean as possible, go for the JL.

Moderately priced means around or less than 100 bucks I suppose. I'm thinking dual voice coil may be the way to go, since I'm only running one 12. That punch amp seemed to work the best bridged to the pair I used to have. Thanks for the ideas. I've never been impressed with the series 1 subs either.

I never hear people mention Audiobahn. I strongly recommend them They have a massive punch.

I cringe when people mention Audiobahn. They have great specs and ratings, but they are far inferior to even the RF Punch. I had an 8db drop with the audiobahn's running the exact same set-up as with my Alpine Type R 12's.
