a good hood compliments the camaro's body lines, so floss them!!!

 

Can't go wrong with a Cervini 3", I plan on getting one for my 92 Z28 when I get ready to get it painted again.

These are pics from my IrocZ I use to own, man those pics bring back memories.

 

Here's a few pics of my hood. It's a custom hood so I dont know what to call it. Don't mind the dirt, I haven't wash my car in a while.

Ya. cutting, prepping, and sanding each hole in those louvers is a labor of love, or should I say a major pain in the ****!

Later down the road after I do a drivetrain swap I'd like to get either the SS hood of a small 2" Cervini cowl hood. I think a 4" hood is somewhat overkill unless you have a monster air cleaner under there.

 

NOOOO, don't change the hood.... the IROC is so fitting. I love the SS hood on the 4th gen cars but seems out of place on the third gens. Cowls, not a fan of them either, and the IROC cowl hood IMO is nasty... Her car is absolutly perfect how it is, don't change the hood!

Hi Guys,
I'd love to make the louvers for you, but at this point, all my time is going into finishing my car. I haven't really driven her in 4 years!

Here is a picture with the louvers off. As you can see, we left some support braces so that the louvers will have a proper seat. After you cut the louvers, put it back on the car and trace out the holes on the hood. That will be your template to make cuts into the hood. Even with the braces in place, you are not able to see them from the outside since the louvers cover them. This is the result:

 

MR. Irocz i would plexy glass underneath the louvers so you dont get dirt in the engine, would still look functional.

 

Well, the car won't be driven much, and the openings would be a great heat escape for the pissed off stroked 383!

love the style of the cowl but the "bolt on" part was a little disappointing

Yes, the modded IROC louver hood is very nice, and on your car I really like the blister hood. I really like both of your cars anyhow... My two favorite colors for the camaro... You lucky dog!

I bought mine through fbodymotorsports (vender)...but I'm almost certain that all camaro WS-6 hoods are made by the same company (ASCD)

if not, some of the other guys on here with the hood can chime in

not very recent since there has been a lot done to it since then but but you get the point.

yea i think its just to round but your car color and that rear spoiler your car looks great good job man

 

heres mins still needs paint but i think im just going to save a little more to get the whole car painted

well i took a little differ approach to my new hood...i had a ram air II on the car but it flew up during a race, found a daytona locally and got it...had to mod it to match my car....this is what i came up with....have the louvers for sale since well i cant use them anymore hahahah

 

this hood is the ****, i love this hood.

 

Majority of the hood is done. Now just working on the fine details. Next is prime and painting!
I'll definitely keep you updated.

I still have yet to align it properly.

 

My Carbon Fiber hood. Its the only one in North America as far as I know.
