New rims for my iroc (pics)
Hey
I just got new rims and tires for my iroc tell me what you guys think of them. They are chrome c6 vette rims 17x9.5 and 275's tires on all corners. I think they look badass but give me ur opinion.

Looks really good. I do like the rims and the sticker just goes very nicely with the whole car.

I have to thank skulte for recommending the 2.25" spacers cause the fit is perfect and they perform awesome. The next mods gonna be c5 brakes once i save up the money. These rims make my brakes look puney.

I guess I'm too much of the stock look lover. Besides, with no outer depth, it kinda look like a FWD car.
Even on my wife's 90 Camaro, she went with GTA crosslace wheels.

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
They look pretty slick. Does anyone have pics of the new zo6 wheels on one? I was thinking about getting a set but I think there may be too much showing behind (tiny brakes).

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
Blakcamaro The 2 1/4 in spacers will probably be the right ones But i would definately give skulte an email and tell him ur exact setup and he will tell u what spacers to use. His sites www.skulte.com. Thats what i did and they fit perfect.

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
Thanks i used 2 1/4 in spacers on the front and rear
I have a stock thirdgen 10 bolt
and am stock height
they rub very little at full lock on the front
Definately worth the extra traction

Yeah I have seen these on several cars and they look awesome. Kubus has them on his, but went with 18". I am torn between 17" and 18" I don't know if I want that big of a tire on mine though. Like you said however the traction improvement would be nice.

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
Well, i think that once you start getting bigger than 17's they start to look funny on our cars. But if ur planning on really big brakes like the c6 z06 brakes or something then get 18's. The next mod for me is c6 z51 brakes which should fit perfectly behind the 17's.

Wheels look good, I'm not a fan of the world's biggest wheel spacers or crooked Comp Cams stickers though.
You should definitely go 4WDB now that you can show them off, if anything for the much improved stopping power.
Side Note: That is an aftermarket power antenna, can I ask which one you bought? I need to replace mine but need one in black...

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
sexy Iroc my friend. Im not a fan of chrome on Irocs though. I love how 9.5s look on all four corners though. I'm getting 38mm offset c4 zr1 rims eventually. Im going to have them painted silver lip with gunmetal spokes. I really don't like the black spoked rims but i don't want it to be all silver so gunmetal it is.
Red camaros are the best too. Nice car.

Well, gotta show people that you have a cam and the car is not stock or you get no respect. Thats why i have the comp stickers, but i actually wanna swap to a bigger cam and aftermarket heads. But the car is pretty quick as it is now.

As for stickers---they don't mean or prove anything.

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
Your rear tires are directional as well right? Is it just me or does the rear passenger tire look like it's spinning the opposite direction of the treads in the 2nd pic of the first post?

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
Good eye I was so excited to get them mounted when i first got them that i put them on backwards. I have fixed this after someone else pointed it out in the pics.

Re: New rims for my iroc (pics)
I think the car would look 100x better without the Comp and Flowmaster stickers, it is a very clean example of an IROC-Z! A little Eibach Pro-Kit or Sportlines would tuck those wheels better too.
Let them push the stereotype of it might be slow, they will be all the more surprised in the end. Over here stickers are for the rycer lyfe.
No comment on the antenna?
