WTB 3Rd Gen Camaro IROC
Hey Guys -
I'm pretty new to the site and have had an interest in late model GM cars for quite some time. Ive dabbled in some fullsize pickups, earlier camaros, as well as a few other things. At any rate... On to the wants.
I am currently looking for:
1987-1992 IROC
Less than 75,000 Miles
5-Speed
305 TPI, or in the rare, very rare instance 350/5-Speed Combo
T-Tops
Prefer Red (Especially Dark) or Black, although color is not crucial.
In reasonably good to excellent condition.
If anyone has one that they are willing to part with, or may know where one is, please let me know. I have been scouring the web looking for one and i can't seem to find one that fits the bill.
Thanks Again,
Matt

Re: WTB 3Rd Gen Camaro IROC
I may be interested in letting my IROC go to a new home. One that will appreciate the car, not abuse or modify one of the last remaining IROC-Z's. I have one of the best surviving IROC's around. I know because I looked high and low for a long time before I found this one. It currently has 71,731 miles and has no major mechanical or cosmetic issues. I just drove it from Alabama to Washington, and I drive it everyday. It is not a 5-speed, but has a Hurst/Dual Gate shifter. The car meets all of your other requirements. I have not been dissapointed with the car, and neither would anyone else. The car gets lots of comments and offers to buy.
This is an '85 (first year for the IROC-Z), I wasn't sure if you were certain about the years you were interested in the IROC was only produced from '85-'90. Good luck on your search. Let me know if you are seriously interested.

Re: WTB 3Rd Gen Camaro IROC
I have never heard anything about the Hurst Dual Gate Shifter... It looks pretty cool. I'm interested in gaining a little bit of information on it. For starters... that wasn't a factory option was it? Also, what type of price are you interested in letting the IROC go far?
I just wanted to let you know as well, I was incorrect in years. It should have read 1990, not 1992. Either way, from what I understand they cut their power in 1990 cars. I hear the 1989 is the year to get although that is not a huge concern for me. I really do like your IROC and you can trust I'm looking for an original IROC to keep an original IROC. The only plans for modification I have are an exhaust system or possibly Black-Out taillight covers but that's it.
Thanks for your response,
Matt
