1992 Z28 Hard Top 5.3L LS swap 4L60E

Selling my 1992 Camaro Z28 hard top with 5.3L/4L60E swap.
Engine is a junkyard iron 5.3L with LS1 intake and LS1 F-body exhaust manifolds, water pump, and crank pulley. PS/Alt bracket and AC bracket are from KWIK performance made to fit LS1 F-body. Trans is a 4L60E out of a '99 Camaro. Unknown mileage on engine and trans, was told 100K miles on both but no paperwork to prove it. 140K miles on the body.

Swap was done by Gary Rod & Chassis in Ozark, MO a couple of years ago and has a little over 2000 miles on it. Engine and trans are stock, no mods other than the catback exhaust. I drove it over 100 miles home when I bought it and just put 200 miles on it yesterday, it's a pretty good driver.

Lots of new parts put on when it was swapped:
-tubular k member
-LS swap wiring harness, fuse block, etc. from hotwireauto.com
-new water pump, oil pump, ps pump, alternator
-Intellitronix LED digital dash
-all new brakes: lines, rotors, calipers on all 4 corners
-new fuel pump, Trick Flow AFPR w/gauge and braided fuel lines
-new front struts
-new 3" catback exhaust system with Hooker Aerochamber muffler
-new headliner and sun visors
-new rear hatch shocks
-new door pins so the doors don't sag or drag
-new dash pad cover

New parts put on this past year:
-hood struts
-high speed blower relay
-4 new Falken tires
-new rear shocks
-all new AC parts including KWIK performance AC bracket, Sanden compressor, new evaporator, condenser, accumulator, pressure switch, orifice tube, and custom AC lines to connect everything.

Issues:
-AC has a leak and doesn't work currently
-Front driver's side seat bottom is torn
-cruise control doesn't work
-power door locks are weak
-previous owner installed a switch panel in the center console, I removed it and patched the hole with ABS plastic, see pics
-paint is original and has chips, fading, scratches, etc. The paint on the roof is pretty sun faded. Body is straight, 99% rust free. Needs a paint job to be a show car, but looks decent as-is

Runs and drives good. Shifts firmly, chirps the tires on the 1-2 shift if you're getting on it. Has a tiny oil leak that leaves a drop or two when you park it. No other leaks. Fresh alignment and MO state inspection as of 10/4/24. Going to the shop to have the AC fixed in a couple of weeks. I also have a set of louvers for the rear hatch that will go with the car.

Asking $10,900 OBO. Located in central MO. No trades, cash sale, sold as-is. Clean title in my name, no liens. Call or text 573-999-9082 for fastest response.

Nice description/information on the car - and appears to be a good set up. With that said, why are you now wanting to sell ?
What do you think the HP on your set up is and are there any heat issues ?
.....some possible interest

Thanks! Last June my daily driver got stolen out of my driveway. I filed an insurance claim and I was going to get about $9k back, so I bought this Z28 off FB. Two weeks later the cops called and told me they found my daily just a couple blocks away from my house, undamaged. I canceled the insurance claim and decided to put AC and new tires on the Camaro and sell it. I drove it over the summer this year, it's honestly a really solid driver for a 30+ year old car, but I'd rather have the money and space in my garage for another project.

No heat issues, the fans are set to turn on at 185 and 195 and the temp stays below 200. For horsepower, I would say around 300. It still has stock exhaust manifolds, cam, and intake, so it's going to make close to what a stock 5.3L makes in a truck. If I don't sell it, I might add headers and a Truck Norris cam or similar, it should make close to 400 with that setup.

I've added more pics of the underside of the car.

Valve seals have been replaced. While I was at it, I noticed one plug wire boot was torn so I put on new plug wires as well. Quick cold start video to show that it doesn't smoke:

The only real rust I can find is in the spare tire well. The bracket beneath the jack is rusted through and has been repaired with sheet metal screws. There's also a small hole about 1" diameter just a few inches forward of that bracket. Also included pics of the door jambs, torn seat bottom, the louvers, and some nicks in the paint. I don't want anyone to be surprised when they show up to look at this car.

Are those factory louvers, or aftermarket? Got any more pictures of those? If you're willing to part with those separately, I might be interested.

Kinda hidden in there, but it looks like he's got louvers.

Or are you commenting that I misspelled "Louvers"?

Misspelling. They do not look factory as a better pic us needed to see if it has the third break light opening.

Re: 1992 Z28 Hard Top 5.3L LS swap 4L60E

I think that both spellings are used interchangeably... Regardless and moving forward though, that louver/louvre is definitely not original to that car with the third brake light, I'm just hoping it might be original to some other year of third gen. My '89 has the factory one without the break light opening, but is pretty severely hail damaged. I'd do the 6 hour round trip drive to Springfield from KC in a heartbeat if I could get a decent set that doesn't look like a golf ball.

Here's more pics of the louvers and the rest of the car. Definitely not original, no third brake light hole, the car doesn't have the DE1 RPO code and the hatch doesn't have any mounting brackets on it. They're in pretty good shape. I would sell them separately, and I'm in Columbia so only 2 hours drive from KC.
