Time Capsule Classic: 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - Only 27K Miles!
1982 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta - Only 27K Miles! Unearthed from a family treasure trove, this 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta has been a cherished member of our family since day one. Purchased brand new by my dad, this beauty has been pampered and babied throughout its entire existence, evident in its astonishingly low 27,000 original miles. Everything is original.
This iconic piece of automotive history has never felt the raindrops, as it has always been sheltered from the elements. For about two decades, my dad kept it under wraps in his garage, preserving its pristine condition. The attached photo captures the moment when I first lifted the cover, revealing a vintage masterpiece in impeccable shape.
Both the exterior and interior of this Camaro are a testament to meticulous care and maintenance. The paint glistens as if it just rolled off the showroom floor, and the interior is a time capsule of 1980s automotive style. There are not many Berlinetta Sport coupes in existence and if they do, they certainly haven't been kept in this mint condition. Only 39K were manufactured this year. The 1982 Is also the first year of the 3rd generation camaro body style which is important for collectibility standards.
This original piece of American automotive history is ready for a new chapter. What value would you put on it?

Thank you. Good idea. I have all original paperwork, owners manual, etc. Absolutely no rust but showing undercarriage photo would speak for itself. I am trying to determine price but it's challenging knowing there are not many of these to base it off of. I am interested in hearing from camaro enthusiasts on what they may value it at too

This section is for listing For Sale, which does require pricing.
That said, you're going to get different answers. You probably know a rough figure you're looking for.

Very well maintained car. Super nice.
Do you care who buys it and what they do to it? I'm thinking you VERY MUCH care.
A car like this might be pure misery to sell privately. I think you'll meet a whole lot of people that don't really want that car but want a car that nice, and they'll buy if its cheap enough. And then 75% of those people will tear it apart and build a,

Maybe consider sending it to auction instead. https://bringatrailer.com would probably take you in a heartbeat. Bypass the misery of private sale and hopefully have better chance of it going to a collector again.

I'd probably go with Hemmings on this car. They have a staff that will assist you in presenting the car properly and do get a wide audience, lots of bidders, low cost, and do seem to get good results. Your car would do really well on there.

Gona take the right buyer who likes a Berlinetta to catch a good price.. One of the cleanest Ive ever seen I would hope an enthusiast buys it and keeps it original and ooking the way it does.

Wow, I would have thought it would have gotten more, I guess it just goes to show that the model of car does matter.

The Hagerty ad doesn't call out non-running status and mentions some new fuel related parts so assume got it fixed.
I think the sub-model and V6 held it back.

Yes. That was the selling price as I was the seller. The car runs beautifully. The V6 held it back I'm sure. Clean car and all orginal which is why I thought it would have sold for more. Was hoping all of you enthusiasts would have gotten in on the auction Agree, the gentleman who purchased received an amazing car at an amazing price. He was a veteran and all around great person. Happy he was the buyer as he served our country well and hope the camaro serves him well back.

Glad to hear it went to a good home and a great person! Sometimes, at least in my opinion, this is worth some $ to have a good feeling about who the car went to.
