1988 Sport Coupe Track Build

(Car is technically a sport coupe - RS - despite the badging)

$15,500

I’ve been building this car for the last 7 years and have run out of time/desire to finish it. The engine bay and bottom of the car were stripped bare and painted. It’s spotlessly clean, has no rust, and needs little to be a ton of fun. My original intent was to do HPDE track days with it. 90% of the parts on this car are either brand new or just rebuilt. Car will come with whatever spare parts I have (or new parts I have not installed yet).

Summary:
Paint: 9/10
Interior: 10/10

Motor: 1995 LT1, less than 100 miles since rebuild. Factory computer with brand new wiring harness. CC503 cam, ported heads/intake. ARP fasteners throughout. Shorty headers to 3” exhaust that’s been wrapped. Approx 350hp. PCV catch can installed. Canton road race pan.

Transmission: 1995 T56, less than 100 miles since rebuild.

Rear axle: Moser 12 bolt, 31 spline axles, 3.73 gears, TruTrac posi

Cooling:
Be-Cool aluminum radiator
Power steering cooler
Motor oil cooler (not installed)
Dual electric fans

Suspension:
Eibach 1.5” drop springs
KYB Gas-Adjust Shocks
Z28 sway bars
Wonderbar
Full poly-bushings throughout
All new steering links & ball joints
Perimeter & tunnel sub-frame connectors
Adjustable panhard bar
Lakewood lower control arms
Adjustable tubular torque arm
Strut tower brace
Adjustable caster/camber plates

Brakes:
Wilwood 4 piston rear discs
LS1 front brake conversion
All new stainless lines

Tires:
New BF Goodrich Summer Tires

Interior:
New gauges (oil temp, oil pressure, diff temp, trans temp, O2, coolant temp, fuel pressure)
New Corbeau race seats
New headliner
New carpet
New visors

Needs:
Water pump (brand new one leaks...thank you NAPA)
Speedometer hookup (Dakota Digital box will come with car, just install)
High torque starter (again, NAPA starter is too weak when hot)

No trades, no scammers, no offers to help me sell the car. Cash only.

Thank you for looking!

Re: 1988 Sport Coupe Track Build

Nice build up but I would recommend fixing those 3 items (especially the starte and water pump) so potential buyers can start and test drive the car.

For me I would not pay $15k for a used 30+ year old car that I could not start and/or test drive.

Just my $0.02.

To clarify: the car is perfectly driveable. The starter is an issue when the car is hot (as stated above) and the water pump is only weeping from the drip-hole.
