Re: 1985 IROC-Z, SILVER METALLIC
I love how people not buying the car say to keep the price up. Its bee for sale for over a year, and you have an offer of $8500. I say right now, the car is worth $8500 as that is all that anyone seems to be willing to pay for it.
As the saying goes, it's only worth what someone will pay for it.
IMHO, this thread is probably hurting your chances of getting a good price out if it now.

Again, it's a very nice car and I hope it ends up in the hands of someone that can appreciate what it is.

Re: 1985 IROC-Z, SILVER METALLIC
It took me quite a while to get the $12,500 I wanted for mine. But I did and the guy was very happy with it. He recently sold it after adding a $3000 stereo and some other things to it for 20 GRAND! There is a culo for every seat and this car will find the right culo! It is a beautiful and very rare color combined with the awesome interior. I would pay the 12 grand for it too if it was near by and I had the cash for it.

Just a suggestion - go to your first post and modify the price to reflect what you are asking for it now. Guys might see the original price and not make it past the first post to see the price has been reduced. Good luck with the sale. It is a nice car.

Re: 1985 IROC-Z, SILVER METALLIC
Saw a less desirable car (85 TA LG4 Auto 40k mi) sell for $11,500 over the weekend at a show I attended. It was in mint shape and someone seen it that appreciated it and that was exactly the car he wanted. That's all it takes is for the right person to come along. No doubt your IROC should bring close to your asking price it may just take time for that one person to come along. GLWS gorgeous car!

Re: 1985 IROC-Z, SILVER METALLIC
Thanks guys, the season is approaching and I will be selling this car this spring. Would love a "Third Gen-er" to get it (thus relying on this classified so long), but I need to replace a daily driver soon so I'll be putting it in higher traffic venues soon.

I'm a bit confused; I spoke to you about this car about a year ago and you told me it was sold (just found this) Are you the guy that bought it or did you own it then? Is this car still available?

Perhaps you are confusing this car with another - it is indeed still available. I have had a number of seemingly serious buyers look at it, but no one has committed, so I wouldn't have said otherwise.

Re: 1985 IROC-Z, SILVER METALLIC
Hey I'll be at the Good Guys Saturday; I hope to see your can and check it out. Will it be in the car Corral? I realize now that I spoke with the guy you purchased it from a few years ago. He told me it was sold when I inquired.

Re: 1985 IROC-Z, SILVER METALLIC
they sure don't rumble like that anymore. I'd like to hear just 1 car that currently has the deep note and the same sound as these IROCs did. Some have been close, not not the same. I'm not sure how GM did it. Was it just the muffler? Can you even get the same muffler anymore?
