1991 Custom Camaro
Hello everybody. For sale is my 1991 Camaro RS, T-top, 5 speed. This was originally a Florida car and has no rust what so ever. Just about everything on this Camaro is new, and I spent 2 and a half years getting it to this point.
The chassis has about 100K on it, but the rest has appox. 3K. The engine was replaced with a 355 C.I. motor with Crane cam, 2.02/1.60 heads. Wiend intake, Holley carb, Dyno Don headers, and Magnaflow stainless exhaust. Yes, this car is very fast. The fuel tank was replaced along with a new Delco fuel pump/strainer. It sits on 18 inch American racing wheels, and has been lowered an inch and a half in front/one inch in the rear. Suspension includes Koni shocks/struts/strut mounts, moog ball joints, Spohn sub frame connectors and steering brace. A quick ratio steering box was installed along with a rear disc 3.23 posi. All calipers/pads and brake lines are new. The 5 speed has been completely rebuilt with new bearings/syncros and anything questionable was replaced. The shifting is smooth as silk. An aluminum driveshaft was installed as well as High Energy torque and sway bar mounts. There is so much more to list so just ask. $22,000 so far in this car, but we all know you can't get out what you put in, so I'm asking $15,000 firm.

Re: 1991 Custom Camaro
What kind of heads are on the car? What are the cam specs? Do you have pics of the engine bay and under the car? That car is sexy, and the best part is it is close to me.

Re: 1991 Custom Camaro
Thanks for the compliment. As far as the heads, they are stock Chevy, with re machined and hardened seats.I don't remember what casting number. But I do know for sure they are 2.02 intakes and 1.60 exhausts. Again,...sorry about specs on cam. I do know that it is a flat tappet hydraulic, good to between 2500-6500 RPM. And it thumps pretty good. You can definitely tell it's not stock. I will try to get more pics up tomorrow of engine bay, interior,et.

OK, here is some more pics, and some more info about the car. The gauge cluster is the correct yellow lettering for this year (145 mph), but for now has the white overlay with 2 color lighting (green/blue) option. The clutch, pressure plate, throw out are Zoom and are new as is the flywheel. Everything on the motor is new down to the Power Master high torque mini starter to the oil pan. The lighting includes clear markers, and diamond park/turn signals. The headlamps are diamond hid's with blue parking bulbs. Interior is all new, carpet, headliner, door panels, sail panels, and sun visors. Alpine CD provides the sounds through 2 JBL amps feeding Infinity, and Rockford Fostgate subs in a custon made cabinet. 6 speakers total.

Yes I am. I did that to avoid any chance of vapor lock. Has been working great.

Re: 1991 Custom Camaro
Do you have dyno sheets or quarter mile slips? I'm not seeing your asking price in the car, while it has a cool paint job, I am looking for something more stock looking with some nuts under the hood. Ported stock heads and no cam specs aren't telling me much. I suppose you don't have the cam card still?

Re: 1991 Custom Camaro
Cam specs are .473 lift, 288 duration, 114 degree lobe separation. No quarter mile time slips. This car has not been raced/abused, hence the condition. It definitely has nuts. As I said, everything is new, and I've been a mechanic for 30 years. This car was done right, and is for someone that wants a car that has all the goodies already, without all the work and expense that I poured into it. I am loosing money on this car! Perhaps you should look for something that was slapped together, that you can beat around, and quit busting my chops.
