Re: 86 Iroc-z
Bump for a nice low mile iroc. Ill have a place indoors to store this car soon. Already have 1 camaro & a formula on the way. If this car doesn't sell in the next few weeks, it'll be mine. Maybe its the weather or maybe its the lack of pics up. I don't know but I do know that I want. Tempted to come get it now but I really don't want it sitting in the driveway & I'd have to trailer it since the roads are so nasty right now. I think if you post those pics up it'll sell quickly. Maybe ill get lucky & you'll still have it next month(I doubt it)

Re: 86 Iroc-z
ray Jr, I requested pics by text. He sent me alot. He stated that the car has 99k on the chassis & I consider that low miles for an 86. Sorry for the confusion.

That appears to be a clone... wrong seats, no overhead console, no driving lights.. looks like a Z/28 to me. Just saying

^^^ some people dont know the first thing about camaros.......i have 3 irocs and 2 z28s.......please explain to me how you believe this iroc is a clone? you can get them without foglights, those seats and over head console was a rarer option it didnt come standard on all irocs

Re: 86 Iroc-z
Im not saying its not... I said appears to be.
Do you have the 85mph speedo in it?
Let's see... how many Irocs came with no power windows, no T-Tops, No overhead console, and those seats?
Im not getting into a flame war, but the only thing that says I-roc to me on your car is the wheels. If I came to look at it, first thing I would do is a woner bar check... and then look at the RPOs. To me it appears as though you have a Z with an Iroc Dash Badge, door stickers, and wheels. At thhis age of the car... none of that would have been hard to have happened onto.

Re: 86 Iroc-z
The only thing that seems strange to me is the grill and the seats. I've seen many hard top irocs with no overhead console and I've seen irocs without fog lights.but I've never seen any true irocs with that grill and those seats. But I'm no expert so just for s**ts and giggles, can we get a pic of the RPO sheet? That will prove who's right.

I will shut up with a pic of the cluster... Those usually get over looked.
However, yes I believe and SPID would be nice to see.

Re: 86 Iroc-z
86 was a midyear change for the cluster some had 145s some had 85s thats not the end all be all. and ALL 85s had the 85mph. I have no reason to believe it is anything less then a 86' IROC that seems to have had a fender repainted at some point.
More over you could get some BASE IROCs, you could get a 85-87 with a LG4, no power anything or you could get TPI, rear discs, power options. They aren't that rare, I've seen plenty over the years.
more over since the speedo seems to be the end all be all to you look at the pictures, it has a 145. Look at the interior and it has the switch for fog lamps but the grille has been changed at some point in the cars 26 years.

Re: 86 Iroc-z
KyleF, unless you are a serious buyer please stay out of this ad. Thanks.
Also, I always recommend people getting a pic of a SPID once they begin to get seriously interested in a thirdgen.

Re: 86 Iroc-z
besides the grill (thats not a iroc grill)and the headlight buckets not being painted it looks like a decent iroc ...maybe at some point the front clip was changed .. anyways good luck with the sale ..

Re: 86 Iroc-z
Nice ride, hope you sell it. I also have a 86 iroc-z28 and this looks sorta the same but my headlight buckets are black instead of being the same color as this cars is. no overhead con. and I do have fogs/with a different grill, and all power options. including power hatch.T-tops as well. 51.000 miles. but they did come with many different options... gl. now that I think about it i may know someone that may be interested, let you know tomorrow.
