Transmission: built 700r4
Axle/Gears: stock 3.23, 10bolt
Re: Iron Duke Camaro 4 sale
that car is sick...i dont care who you are, or what your into. there just arent many 3rd gens that look that stock, soft, and mild. sure everyone has to have at least one sexy beast in the stable, but you gotta have a car like that too.

Pretty sure that you couldn't get anything below a V6 on a Berlinetta.

Re: Iron Duke Camaro 4 sale
i believe they did, that is the second one ive seen. I almost bought the twin to that, but hardtop. same options, wheels, everything. not nearly as clean though. I passed it up to buy my first bird(87 2.8)... I wish i had the money... fast-not by a long shot, cool, super clean and rarely seen-yes..

That is one of the cleanest third gens i have ever seen. Ive been looking for a V8 in that price range, but I would consider this one. Only 50000 zsome miles too

I got a email from the seller comfirming that it is a 4 cly. Here is the email and his contact info. I dont think i can pop on it but someone needs to get this one and preserve it. He sent me some more pictures email me and i send them to you.
Hi Jason,
Thanks for your email about the 1983 Camaro. I am sending you pictures of the engine and of the car without the t-tops. And yes, this is a 4 cyl engine. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.
Thanks,
Pat

Re: Iron Duke Camaro 4 sale
I emailed the guy about the car too. It really was just logistics that killed it for me. I don't have a thirdgen car yet and I want one. This looked like a unique way to get nice one...affordably, albeit probably damn slow. Here's a pic of the engine that was sent to me.
I asked a couple questions and he sent this to me:
We have had the car in the family for many many years. The engine was replaced about 5 years ago (it is a 4 cylinder), which is why the miles are as low as they are. The t-tops don't leak at all and the seals are in great shape too. There really isn't any rust on the car anywhere. We drove the car out from Oregon last year, so yes I'm confident in it making long drives as well.
Anyway, I'm still super curious about the car, but I don't really want to ask the guy any more questions and waste his time. So I guess my car search goes on, although it's probably on hold until spring now.

The owner did. That's why I posted the pic he sent me along with his email response (in italics). Originally in the ad he mentioned it was a 4. I doubted it and asked for a pic.

Re: Iron Duke Camaro 4 sale
In the owner's defense he said it had been in the family, I believe his dad's. I'm guessing that's why he doesn't know many details. Maybe he inherited it and just wants it gone? I didn't ask. He did say that he drove the car from Oregon to Georgia last year, so that coupled with what appears to be a pretty clean car could make it a good buy for someone.
