86 Camaro Z28 Hardtop
I am debating selling my car. It's been a project of mine for a while but since I already have an 85 that I will not sell and don't need two of these, and would rather my 2nd be a chevelle or something else, this is for sale.
Looking for $5000

Where did you have that car painted? Why are the door handles, locks and front license area painted? Alot of overspray in the wheel wells too...Who painted this Maaco? Not trying to slam the car but $5k?

Re: 86 Camaro Z28 Hardtop
Actually a very reputable shop painted it. The lock cylinders/door handles are coming off for new ones. This car was a shell when I bought it, so I am using lots of new parts. The front license plate grill area, if you didn't notice, isn't there... there is a brand new bowtie fog light grill sitting in my shop. Pics were taken shortly after return from bodyshop. Also, wheelwells have overspray because I plan to por 15 them later. Not trying to slam your car either but i'm willing to bet my 85 camaro is much cleaner than your car and this one will be damn clean as well, and they were both painted at the same place.

1988 IROC 5.7 with 109k original miles. No accidents, NO rust anywhere and still has the original paint which isnt faded. No drips or leaks either.

Re: 86 Camaro Z28 Hardtop
First off let me state that I'm not about to get into a pissing match with somebody who lives on the other side of the U.S. as me, BUT I'm going to throw out a few things for you. Number one, you obviously didn't read the rules for the for sale section, which I will be nice enough to show you which you have broken:
- Do not post in a sellers ad complaining about price unless seller has asked if his/her price is too high. Do not nitpick about the cars either.
I have been around these cars for a long time. Having owned over 10 of them in my life, I know a lot about these. I know what they go for in my area, and I also know that prices vary depending on where you live. You haven't been on here long, but I suggest reading as much as you can here because you have much to learn. You probably don't restore cars so I can forgive your ignorance. I could nit pick your car as well. Your hatch pop up switch is backwards, and your drivers door seems to need new bushings considering it's sagging by looking at the door moldings.
In the end we do have the common ground of loving our cars, where the society we live in generally thinks they are ugly. I invite you to drive your car out here and I'll have a six pack waiting and we can talk for hours about them. Until then, I ask that you leave this thread considering you obviously don't have any intention on purchasing this car, and cannot understand why you felt the need to post here in the first place. Enjoy your chrome fender moldings!
