89 Camaro RS $1800 OBO (IOWA)
#1
89 Camaro RS $1800 OBO (IOWA)
Running, driveable project.
5.0L TBI V8
Turbo 350 trans.
10-Bolt Posi rear
T-tops, All power Options.
AC removed.
Clean Title, 118,300 miles
The good.
No horribly major rot to speak of, it does have some surface rust around the lip of the fenders (both front and rear). Nothing that goes over. Its where the inner fender joins the outer fender lip, consistant with rock chips and neglect over time. It also has some surface rust on the back of the front fender close to the door on both sides. Nothing noticable unless you're looking for it.
Motor has excellent oil pressure/valve guides/seals and was supposidly recently rebuilt... under 2000 miles ago. It dosent smoke a lick on start up, even after sitting for 7 months plus.
Interior is mostly complete minus a head liner, all the plastic is there and in good condition.. Rear seats are Excellent, passengers is O.K, drivers needs replaced.
Dash pad has one little slit on the corner by on the passenger side. Other than that it is excellent, not warped at all.
Stock RS/ Early Z wheels in good Cond.
The bad.
Clear coat is peeling on the rear hatch and by the rear window on the roof.
Drivers side floor needs patched.
the clutches in the rear end need rebuilt/replaced.
Wipers/ cruise dosent work, possibly a fuse, i have no idea.
Tranny leaks about half a quart of fluid in 7 months time. If its just sitting around. I'm not sure what it would leak if you decided to drive it all the time.
Fuel deliverly system is set up for a carb. However, it currently has a throttle body on it. It runs and is driveable, but i woudlnt trust it for any sort of long distance... I.E over 100 miles.
I will take pictues and email them apon request. It would make a good parts car or put a carb on it and run it untill it falls to pieces as a daily driver. It's up to you.
