Time to let my 85 Z-28 go? 406 T-56
I found a car i want to purchase so i think it might be time to retire my camaro. but let me just start with a few details.
1985 Z-28
406 SBC
Edelbrock heads
Crane Retro-fit roller cam
fully rebuilt bottom end arp bolts
Edelbrock RPM air gap intake(10 miles)
Holley 850 Double pumper(10 miles) w/holley brushed alum fuel line.
Mallory Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Earls Fittings
Full mallory ignition(distributor, coil, resistor, voltage spike protector, rev limiter)
Brand new Mallory sidewinder wires(10miles)
accell u Gruve header plugs.
Earls Header gaskets with replacement centers(have replacements)
electric in-tank pump.
Griffin Aluminum Radiator
Dual Fans
SLP headers-y pipe
Catco Cat
3'' catback Flowmaster exhaust dual 3'' out
T-56 from 94 Z-28
Pro 5.0
Centerforce balanced flywheel
Spec Stage 3 clutch
brand new from GM hydraulics
spohn crossmember
9 bolt posi disc rear end
3.70 gears
17x8 TT2's
khumo escta 712 front tires
Nitto 555R rears
RA2 hood
the car is overall in fairly good condition
it needs a headliner, shift boot.
the paint is fairly new, some chips behind the rear tires where the 555r picked up a few small stones. it could use some touch up.
I also have a NOS kit for the car but im not sure if its 100% complete it seems to be. The engine has about 8-10k miles on it. im not sure about the transmission.
i have many many more pics, i can take more of under the hood and interior soon.

Well, after driving it for a while, it has plenty of power. but i have realized that the reverse on it has a mind of its own, the forward gears are perfect. but reverse, seems like the shift fork might be bent a little. it goes into gear and all but sometimes itll be on the edge of not wanting to stay in reverse. the price has went down. im looking for about $6800 for the car. i need to sell it ASAP. This car is deffinately not a show car, mainly a driver. something to cruise in and maybe a little racing at the track, or on the street if you wish. iv raced an 05 GTO(ran 12.9@112 with less mods) on the street and walked him when i let him get the jump and he started a car ahead of me....so i know it goes right along if you need to call me you can call my cell 518-572-2609 it has an akward voice mail so if i dont answer just hold it away from your ear for a second then you can leave a message. and ill call you right back as long as you leave a number!

I really don't suggest E-bay or TGO for a car in that condition. Both e-bayers and TGO'rs are extremelly cheap. I suggest placing a local ad or finding out where the market is hot for third gens

Also try autotrader.com - everyone overlooks autotrader.com. Plenty of foxbodies listed on there, could use some more thirdgens!

This is unrelated to your sale, But i am wondering if you could tell me what RPM you are at in 6th gear at 60 mph.
I have 3.73`s and a 5 speed currently and I am just curious to what kind of an RPM drop at cruising speeds i would have if i switch to a t-56.
Best of luck on your sale. and Sweet Ride!!

sorry but the speedo doesnt work because it is cable and i dont have it converted. but if i were to guess at 60mph it would be about 1200-1300ish.

and yes i put it up again. it seems waiting around isnt helping me, i have it for sale locally it seems i have 2-3 people interested every weekend but then it falls through. id also do partial trade as the auction says honda/acura automatic, 5.0 lx's, or maybe a pickup for partial trade like the auction says.
