brake fluid leaking at proportioning after LS1 upgrade

K I recently upgraded front stock sinlge fronts.. to dual piston LS1 front and from drum rears to LS1 rears..

when we started bleeding the brakes while on the blocks... the rear of the proportioning valve started to leak... I believe this is called the metering valve? its a slow leak.. only happens when you hit the brakes while driving.

should I be using a regular disk/disk prop valve? or is the standard Disk/drum OK to use once you upgrade to rear disks? I wasn't sure if I need the 1LE prop valve either..

braking is fine but pedal is a little squishy

what to do?

If its leaking out the rear plug, the o rings in the valve are worn. Rebuild the valve or vet a new one. A disc disc valve from a 1le car would be best.

There is a thread on here (somewhere) that shows how to rebuild a proportioning valve and gives the part number for what Grainger spring to use. That is one option. Other option is to remove the stock proportioning valve and T off the front line and put an adjustable proportioning valve in for the rears. Both work. Cheaper and easier to rebuild the stock valve but an adjustable unit can be nice to have. I appreciate mine.
