Replaced right side caliper+hose and still pulling to the left

Replaced right side caliper+hose and still pulling to the left
So the cars been pulling hard to the left when braking hard(regular braking fine). I replace the right side caliper and hose and it was fine, until today I noticed it pulling hard again.
Would a collapsed hose be the problem? I dont see how a seized driver side caliper would cause it to pull to the left, and same goes for the hose.

Try replacing the other side. When doing brake work you don't do just one side of the car, you do both sides.

Its actually been bugging me that I didn't pay the extra 30 for the left side. (Rotors and pads on both sides still looked brand new when caliper+hose was replaced). Ill be doing this Saturday.
Just curious though on why it would still be pulling to the left. Any suggestions?

if the car is pulling left under braking, a bad right caliper will not cause that. That will make the car go right. Follow?
Change the other side, get it back together and go from there.

Well I thought a seized right side caliper wouldn't be able to push the pads to squeeze the rotor leaving just the left side squeezing, hence the pulling.
I originally, before looking into it, was gonna replace just the caliper because it was pulling to the left and I noticed a couple weeks ago when I had the wheels off that the right rotor had a bit of surface rust(making me think the caliper was seized). Then when I was getting ready to replace the caliper I noticed the surface rust was gone and the rotor looked clean, so I replaced the hose as well incase it was clogged.
My definition of a seized caliper must be wrong. Does it mean the piston cant move out or in, or does it mean the piston just cant go back in causing the pads to hold their contact with the rotor longer and harder?

ok, if its not working at all, yes, i was thinking it was sticking occasionally and dragging. If the piston seized, i would think it would seize in a extended, brake applied, position, not back all the way in its bore. But anything is possible i suppose

I agree with you, I would think it would be seized extended rather then retracted, which is why I replaced the hose as well.
Im wondering why it would still be pulling though now. If the left caliper was seized it would be in the extended motion causing the left side to brake all the time and pull all the time and if the hose was collapsed the same thing. If the right hose was clogged, causing less braking force on the right, shouldn't it be fine now or even pulling to the right since it has a new hose+caliper.
Maybe the problem extends farther than just the caliper and hose. Ill get back with the outcome of new drivers side hose+caliper on sat.

Check your control arm/bushings. A bad control arm bushing depending on how bad can dramatically scew alignment during braking. I have seen it on a few.

.......that could explain the popping/cracking noise I hear before coming to a complete stop. Ill probably replace both sides along with the rest at work on sat.
Just to clarify, I dont think the caliper was seized, like I said one day the rotor had light surface rust the next it was gone. Which makes me beleive it was the hose contributing to this issue. I dont mind buying a fresh pair of calipers for good measure either

Do a check on your suspension while changing out the other side of your brakes

Re: Replaced right side caliper+hose and still pulling to the left
alright, so far ive replaced both front calipers+hoses, and the calipers came with new guide pins plus i made sure to grease everything that should be. While swapping out the left side i noticed the pads were not only different, but they had holes in them? the only way i can explain it is like a drilled rotor.
So now im replacing rotors+pads and since im gonna be handling them, the bearings.
Has anyone heard or seen such a brake pad?
and as im looking up new bearings on napas cite its asking me for all kinds of dimensions, so would anyone be able to help me out with that?

does your a-arm wiggle back and forth? could be bad bushings.

**** I didnt get the picture of the pads.....however, a coworker of mine said it could be an old school brake pad. heres a picture i found of what they look like(not my actual pads)
http://gremlinparts.com/amcparts/ind...products_id=13
Both sets(there were different sets on each side) of brake pads looked more new then old. Since the pads were different I decided to play it safe and replace rotors, pads, bearings, new spindle lock kits, and dust boots. all this on top of the newly replaced calipers and hoses.
Its a 25 mile drive on the tollway from work to home and everything felt and sounded good
