Torque Spec Needed -- Rear Caliper Mount Bolts
Help! I need the torque specs for the two bolts that attach the PBR rear caliper mount to the rear axle flange. They are short (3/4" thread) with a 5/8" head. Chilton and Haynes do not list it. Thanks!

Sorry, torque values above are for caliper to bracket.
Bracket to axle flange should be 70 ft. lbs. Footnote in Mitchell says bolts must be discarded and replaced.

GM 1989 through 1992 F-Body PBR brake torque specifications:
-Brake backing to axle flange plate bolts = 37 Ft/Lbs
-Caliper mounting bracket bolts to backing plate = 70 Ft/Lbs
-Upper caliper guide pin bolt = 25 Ft/Lbs
-Lower caliper guide pin bolt = 16 Ft/Lbs
-Parking brake pivot pin nut = 16 Ft/Lbs
-Caliper inlet fitting bolt = 30 Ft/Lbs
-Caliper bleeder valve = 80 In/Lbs

I took a short cut of sorts and removed the whole unit by the two 5/8" bolts that mount the unit to the axle flange and then hung it by a coat hanger to protect the line. I did that because I had to get the rotor off, and taking out the lower guide pin to remove the whole caliper looks like a huge PIA.

I also don't even want to know how difficult it would be to find a new caliper guide pin now. I can't even get the little cotter pin for the wheel bearing bolt at the auto parts store! I'm going to have to improvise at a hardware store. A lot of parts for these cars have been discontinued.
