Wilwood FSL Pads

I'll admit up front that I'm probably an idiot and should have been able to figure this out on my own, but I've searched all afternoon with no positive results.

I have the 13" Wilwood FSL kit on my car from Ed Miller and I need to get new pads before my next outing to a road course, but I cannot figure out the right pads to order. I'd like to get Hawk pads, most likely the HP Plus type, but choosing the right compound is not the issue I'm struggling with. All the sites I've been on require you to search by vehicle make, model, etc, which obviously is not an option since it's an aftermarket kit. The only applicable number I've found is "7420" which I think refers to the backing plate, but I'm not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated (I'd call Ed but I know he's really busy and I've had a lot of trouble getting in touch with him in the past).

Re: Wilwood FSL Pads

7420 is the pad design you need. You can get those pads from any circle track site, summit sells them im sure, as well as others.

bp-10 pads are supposed to be the street/light race duty pads from what i see,

here is just one link i had handy
http://www.southwestspeed.com/?sec=view_part&id=10006

not sure if hawks makes a version of this pad, never looked

Re: Wilwood FSL Pads

BP-10s were suitable for me for track days. Wilwood sells probably at least 10 compounds in the FSL fitment. Hawks also makes pads in the 7420 size.

Re: Wilwood FSL Pads

the BP-10's were awesome for me on the track. No hint of fade ever. On the street they liked to make noise. I'm now running the Polymatrix pad that wilwood sells and so far on the street they are great, i'll have it out on the track in a couple weeks, i hope they do as well as the BP-10's did, otherwise I might run the polymatrix on street and swap to BP-10 for track days.

rlewi771,

Wilwood makes several different versions of the polymatrix. Which ones are you using?

Re: Wilwood FSL Pads

Excellent. I will have to try those.

I have found both the BP-10 and Hawks Ceramic to be noisy on the street.
