wobble while braking
changed to 16" iroc rims on an 88 sport coupe convertible. On the test drive when applying the brake at 50 mph the front end feels like it's coming apart. I put the stock wheels back on and now it does the same thing. Drove the car on the interstate the week before with no problems. Did something break when I jacked the car up maybe. I'm the second owner or the car and the front end parts are probably all original. I only changed pads a couple of times.Car only has 60,000 miles. Car sits a lot and is hardly driven and I now know thats the worst thing to do. Pads are still pretty good and rotors do not seemed wharped as I know what that feels like. What should I look for?

Re: wobble while braking
Control arm bushings. Hope you didn't jack the car up from the bushings.
Possible warped rotors. Check them.

Re: wobble while braking
Check rotors and rear drums for "sticky" spots as you turn them.
