Drum backing plate HELP!!

I'm trying to get the backing plates for the rear drums off of my axle so I can replace them (got new ones and the old ones squeal pretty bad because of the friction points). I've already got the drums off and the axles out, and the brake lines are off. I've also broken off the 2 bolts on each side and I can't get the nut on the anchor pins to move without moving the pin. Is there some trick to getting these off? Can I cut the nuts off of the anchors and then replace them later? Last, anyone know the thread size on the backing plate bolts so I can get some new bolts?

Re: Drum backing plate HELP!!

Read through the thread, but I still don't have a thread size for the bolts so I can rethread them later. Sounds like the anchor pins are going to be as much fun as removing the inner tie rod end on my Grand Prix was .
