LS1 rear disc dust shield

I'm currently in the middle of a 10 bolt drum/disc swap and could use some help locating replacement dust shields for the LS1 12" rear disc. The disc are from a 98 base so if there any conflicting info please force me to clarify or better yet correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance

Re: LS1 rear disc dust shield

Welcome to TGO. Just an FYI: Some thirdgens with PBR's didn't come from the factory equipped with the dust shield.

On the LS1 rear brakes the dust shield helps retain the parking brake shoe. #3 in the pic is the clip for this.

You might try sourcing them from GM and/or this site's classifieds.

RBob, thanks for the info.

On LS1s, you need that shield as mentioned above.
