Well I replaced the hard line that runs from the master to the T on the rear end.(1991 Z28) I know it was some type of metric bubble flare. I was wondering what sizes the rest of the brake lines are on the car? The front hard lines, to rubber, to calipers. How about out of the t-fitting in the rear to the wheel cylinders. Is the anyway to convert these lines to an SAE size with a standard double flare?

probably wont find adapters, why not just pickup a cheap bubble flare tool and the right nuts?

the small lines on the axle and to the front calipers have 10mm 1.0 bubble flare fittings on 4.75mm line, the rear line has a 14mm 1.5 fitting in the engine bay and i believe a 12mm 1.0 at the rear t-block connection, but it may be 14mm as well, on 6mm line. You can get all the fittings here http://www.fedhillusa.com/. I just found this outfit the other day, and they have everything, even a 14mm 1.5 union which i have been looking for for months, just ordered some things the other day and should have them tomorrow.

you can use the 6mm line nuts on 1/4" tubing if you drill the nut out to 1/4".

from my experience on my car, the brake lines were just 3/16" solid line with metric fittings on the end. some fbodies have metric fittings, some have sae fittings.....but they all have the same line

the metric line is practicly the same size as the standard sizes, but they are metric if the car was made after 84 or maybe 85

So the "main" rear line is 6mm? I know it is a little smaller than 1/4" beacuse it keeps slipping my flare block!

It's the metric 6mm, then I drilled the nut out for a quater. I can't really say if I remember it was bubble flare but bubble flares are by far the easiest to make make you got the kit mine was 119 from snap on.
