Tons of C4 HD questions
Ok, just picked up a C4 HD set up from a member of the local site.
He said he used the standard banjo bolts and brake hoses, but I tried to reuse mine, and its not going in nearly as smooth as stock?
Where can I get banjo bolts for these calipers? I think I might have crossthreaded the one thinking that all I needed was a little muscle to get it in there, but it went in cockeyed and Im pretty sure Im gunna end up buying a new caliper..yay for me
Also, brake hoses? they look like they will work, but the thick black plastic hose covering plays with the hose fitting close to the caliper.
Also, I was looking at the brake swap and wheel fitment sticky, and am looking to put on a set of ZR1 wheels, 17x9's up front. they are 4th gen offset. It listed 2 C4 HD's, one using the 1LE bearings and the other using the stockers...how would I be able to tell the difference? Just looking at it, the rotor seems to be much farther away from the strut/spindle then the stocker 10 inch rotor was. I know Ill need spacers, but I dont want to order 2 inch spacers and then have the front wheels sticking out?

Re: Tons of C4 HD questions
Ok, orderd 2 banjo or brake hose fitting bolts for the calipers.
Looks like I have that solved..hopefully.
I still have questions on the hoses if they will work. I really hope that teh caliper is salvageable...I dont feel like picking up a new caliper.

Re: Tons of C4 HD questions
Thank you, but there is no answer for brake hoses. Can I reuse my stock brake hoses?
And still no answer as to how can I find out what kind of offset I now have. I need to know this so I can order the correct spacers.

The brake hose question is answered in the FAQ section of the site. You can use your factory brake hoses. I do not know about the new total offset.

You may need to slightly trim the hose covering to get them to sit flush against the caliper but they should work.
As for spacing, the HDs push out a bit further than the regular kits do (.6" added vice .3") so I'd only run a 1.25"-1.4" spacer as opposed to the 1.75"-2" spacer that a kit like this usually needs.
