C6 Z06 front brakes...
I don't know what all pads you guys use but Carbotech has a one piece pad setup to ditch the 12/8 individual padlet design. Still uses stock clips and caliper bolts and is offered in every compound they make. I think it's kind of cool.

ive been thinking about putting those big z06 brakes on my car eventually.
are they any harder to install than the normal c5 brakes?
and how much better are they?

No harder than any other brake swap. Use a cut down rotor and modified spindle and bolt whatever adapter you want on there and you're golden. People have talked about cutting off steering stops but I didn't have to. YMMV.
As for better...for a street car it's not going to matter much because you're pad choice and tire compound probably aren't going to utilize the potential of the larger diameter rotor/caliper pistons. But it DOES look cool.

Re: C6 Z06 front brakes...
well id be putting 18x9.5 C5 z06 rims on the front and 19x10.5 on back.
plus eventually id be getting another set of rims for race rubber, so those brakes would rock there.
but i wouldnt be doing those brakes specifically for a few years.
ill just put C5s for now.
