Baer Pro-Plus Brakes

Found this system while strolling through there website. If any of you were looking at the Extreme-Plus systems, but couldn't afford the price, this is for you. It uses their 6P 6 piston PBR caliper, the same pads that are used on the C5 and C6 Vettes, and they come with drilled/slotted/zinc washed 2 piece vented rotors that are either 13" or 14". Around $2000 for it all.

They are there just need to scroll down. It doesn't list a price for a setup for our cars, but lets say at least 2100.

I'll take junkyard c5 parts, or pay around 1600 for a superior c6 z06 junkyard package.

True. But if you're a new in box guy like me and don't want to pay the almost $4000 for the Extreme-Plus system, this is a good alternative.

No, I didn't call for a price on the thirdgen package. But, going by the prices they have listed for the other Camaro generations, it'd be safe to assume that the Pro-Plus brakes would be around $2000-$2200 for a thirdgen. The Extreme-Plus system goes for about $3600 on Hawks.

Heres the prices for the Pro-Plus system for the other Camaro's at Baer:

MSRP 13"
67-69: $2383.34
93-02: $2050.00

MSRP 14"
67-69: $2438.89
93-02: $2105.59

Baer Direct Pricing 13"
67-69: $2145
93-02: $1895

Baer Direct Pricing 14"
67-69: $2195
93-02: $1895

Re: Baer Pro-Plus Brakes

Just called and dont go by the part numbers listed because some are wrong, anyway

14" setup 2395 -150 for the cores (spindles)
12" two piston setup 1445 -150 for the cores
The 150 is for both cores not each

And they dont have anything that will fit the stock gta wheel

Re: Baer Pro-Plus Brakes

Nice setup, but you will need 17" wheels to run the 13" kit and 18" to run the 14" kit at a minimum...

The only thing that Baer makes to fit under the 16" GTA wheels is the 12" kit. I know because they didn't fit the 13" track kit I have.

Yep, thats why I'm getting SLP 17x8 ZR1 wheels for my car. They should allow me to get the 13" Pro-Plus system if I decide to go for them.

In case you're curious, here they are:

Re: Baer Pro-Plus Brakes

Pretty much the same as Ed Miller's (flynbye.com) c6 z06 package, which is $1400 complete. Only real difference is he includes 14" one piece rotors. And the calipers say Baer instead of Corvette.

Re: Baer Pro-Plus Brakes

Yes but with Ed's kit you have to have 18" or larger wheels for 6 piston calipers, but Baer offers at 6 piston caliper with 13" rotors that will fit 17" wheels.

Yes it will. It might rub on some, but they fit inside mine. Not a whole lot of clearance, but they fit just fine.

Re: Baer Pro-Plus Brakes

Oh ok thanks blacksunshine, but I would like at least a 4 piston caliper setup, that's why I think I'm going with the willwoods from Ed Miller. DOn't know if anyone here has used them and can give me their opinion on them, but it looks like they should be a lot better than a 2 piston setup. I have read that some guys have the 1LE package and say they are really good with the right pads, but I'd rather have as much stopping power as possible.
