horrible brake chatter

lately i've been having some horrible break chatter when autocrossing. when i get on the breaks hard before going into a turn the brakes chatter hard the the car violently hops sideways. i've tried chamfering the brake pads and even putting some ultra copper on the back side of the pad to stop it but nothing has helped. any ideas?

Re: horrible brake chatter

I can only find pads that have one Clip on the back and nothing else to keep the inboard pad retracted. Gonna replace my stock brake lines with this because i noticed that some of the lines look wet which im assuming there probably the original 20 year old lines.

I got a few days ago and some new pads which still only have one clip but im gonna clean up the calipers and stuff and get a better view.

CHATTER MATTERS

A common reason for chatter is improperly finished or warped rotors.
Finish your rotors at 40 RA.
