Re: have tail lights but no brake lights

You may have to adjust the switch.
If you have a multimeter, check to see if it has continuity, with the brake applied. (switch unplugged)
If you don't and you have a test light, see if you are getting power to the switch. Then see if you have power thru the switch with the brake applied.
It may be something as simple as a bad ground on the taillights too.

First of all, do you have a third brake light? Does IT come on? If so, I believe I know what your problem is. Attached to the right side of the steering column, down near the pedals, there is a white connector with a bunch of wires hard wired into it. The white one is for the tail light brake lights. Mine got pulled out somehow and I only had my third brake light. Put that wire back in and bingo bango.

Re: have tail lights but no brake lights

By switch, do you mean the one on the pedal, or the connection I have pictured? You should look at the connection I posted and make sure the white wire is secure. If not, you can run + from the brake pedal switch and then splice into the + BRAKE wire at each brake light. Splice the stock - wire at each bulb and ground it to the car. That should be a LAST resort though, messing that much with the factory wiring; but you would have brake lights then. Like I said, if you haven't already, check the connection I posted. Mine confused me for a long time until I found that.
