Switching to 9 Bolt: Brake Q's

I have a 9 bolt im putting in to replace my busted 10 bolt. Im also going from drums to disks. Which rear brake parts am I looking for? I keep seeing a reference to with performance brakes or without. Im not sure if the 9 bolt disk rear came with only 1LE's, or could they come on standard cars? Which pads and rotors am I looking for?

Both 9- and 10-bolt could have the old style iron Delco-Moraine calipers; both could have 1LE's, depending on the year. Check the following link for more info:

Ah, thank you for clearing that up.

Another question. Who the hell sells good brake rotors and pads for these calipers? Id like to get a set of Hawk HPS pads if possible, but I have only seen them for "non-performance package" rear brakes.

I have used Performance Friction z-rated pads for the 9-bolt brakes.

I ordered my pads and rotors from carquest.
Rotors where 17.89 a each and the pads where 23 bucks for the set.
And yes thats for the 11.655 rotors and pads for the pbrs.

Re: Switching to 9 Bolt: Brake Q's

Your lucky you have the PBR setup. I've had two 9 bolts with the older '88 disc brakes and the calipers are junk. And 3 were messed up. 2 were frozen, one worked and one leaked all over.
