All you C5 brake kit owners...

I was talking with Ed Miller over the weekend and am seriously considering swapping my C4 brakes for C5s and want to see what they will look like on a car. Ed showed me a Corvette caliper and the rotor which I think will look killer but I would like to see how it will look on a bird preferrably but I'll be glad to see any pics. Post em if you got em.

Re: All you C5 brake kit owners...

I have them on my Camaro. I got the calipers from an aftermarket source. They are identicle to the Vette calipers with the "corvette" letters milled off and are black. I think the GM Vette ones look better.

Well that pretty much answers my clearance question I emailed you about earlier, I'd still like to do a test fit though.

Re: All you C5 brake kit owners...

I thought Ken had to shave down the caliper from interference on the back side of the wheel spokes?

He did. Mike and I will just do a test fit since he's close. We'll make it work.

Any idea how much he had to take off before they would clear? What's you schedule like this weekend Ed? We're supposed to be putting the brakes on Tom's car starting Thursday morning.

Picture isn't coming through. After test fitting the C5 setup to wheels with both a 4" and 4.75" backspace and neither will clear it's back to the drawing board.

Re: All you C5 brake kit owners...

Nice setup.. those look like Z51s in there. Am I correct? And are those 17" wheels?

For you guys interested in the TT2 and C5 issue, I'm posting a new thread with pics and more info.

Re: All you C5 brake kit owners...

looks like z51's and 18's . Pretty slick too much for me though I am just going with c5 and z06 10 spokes. unless the price on the z51's came way down.
