Affordable rear calipers for 84 that work!

Does anyone know what rear caliper that will bolt on to my 84 disc brake rear that works like it should? My emer brake has never worked good, and brakes go away about 2 weeks after adjusting levers and cable. I've rebuilt the calipers already, with no better results.
I don't know exactly what to search for, as I would just like to find a caliper that works.
Thanks,
Ron

Is there a caliper that will bolt on my disc brake brackets that works without having to change anything?
I don't need the extra braking of newer bigger brakes I don't think.
I converted a 69 Camaro rear end to the 84 stuff and put it in a 40 Chevy streetrod that is running a LB9, and I tool around in it.

No one makes bolt in replacements as far as I know. From what I've heard the reason they don't work so well is that the prop valve doesn't give them enough pressure to work well normally, so they freeze. I'm in the process of installing an adjustable, so maybe they won't freeze? This is a fairly inexpensive mod, all you need is a flare tool and cutter.

There is also a fix kit for these calipers that works--or at least it did for me on my 85 (pre-PBR swap).

I'd love to know how to fix this problem. Sometimes stopping in a hurry is scary.
I've put a new vette prop valve and master cylinder on it, and bigger lines from valve to mc. I've put later bird rotors on front to help out, but nothing seems to help.

Very likely. IIRC, mine did.
