rotors chewed up
Got an inspection and they told me my rotors were bad. So I took them off today in hopes I could get them refinished. Turns out theyre more messed up than I thought. I was just wondering what caused this. there are a lot of divits only on the inside of both rotors. Just curious. Thanks
New rotors and pads on the way.

Looks to me like those are heat marks. It may be caused by a cheap rotor or your brake pads. but that rotor was under a lot of heat.

Looks like heat marks to me to. Mine had lines in them from the sqeakers on the pads diging in them from the previous owner. So i took the time to replace the rotors pads and clean up and regrease the bearings. Wasn't expensive at all.

Would bad/old brake pads cause this? Like I said Im just curious, Im putting on new rotors, bearing, and pads. Just wondering how this would happen for future knowledge. Thanks
