Can I reuse the copper washers for calipers?
I wanted to buy new ones from NAPA but the guys said it costes them $25 for a bag of 10 and they don't stock them.
Do you think I can reuse mine?

Usually new calipers come with the copper washers. $25/10 is extreme, might as well get new calipers ($13/each) with the washers!
The washers form to the surface on the caliper and bolt, stopping it from leaking, hopefully.

You can get them anywhere Motormite/Dorman/HELP products are sold....they are cheap....usually 3.50-4.00 for
a pair. I would replace them, they are a one-time product.

like my instructor saids "if you are stuck in the dessert and there is no autoparts store and you have no choice but to reuse it, go for it". I reused mine when i did my calipers because it didnt come with them. No leaks

Those things are only a few cents each, maybe .50 max...but I do recommend replacing them every time you take the hose off.

I'll go to the dealer to see if they have them. Lo-tec, thanks for the part number.
My plan was to change them but I just didn't expect NAPA not to carry them.
Thanks.

The copper washers can be re-softened by heating to dull red and dropping them in cool water. Don't need a lot of heat for dull red, so no oxy/actylene torches please.
Just a plumbers propane or a stove top is enough heat.
Note that this does not work with the aluminum washers, just the copper.
RBob.
