Lately, it's been more like "What haven't I hit?"
I caved in the right side of the car via a tire wall at Mid-Ohio in early July with NASA OH/IN then I was running the Driving Concepts racing school at Autobahn CC with NASA Midwest two weeks later and clipped a Miata.
After that hell of a month, I'm getting the budget back in order, getting some decent brakes on the car, pound it straight for the last time, and take it to Road America in October to go through the DCI school again. At least it's a track ***** that's painted in Rustoleum flat black, so the body work can be done with a rubber mallet and a 2x4
I've already started on next year's AI car... hopefully it'll open a lot of eyes next year

I've had a few inquiries on them and am working on one of these setups right now, only difference from your setup is that this one has stainless steel brackets. Other than that, nothing. I'm a bit suprised considering the braking power they offer for the GTA wheels.

On another note, aluminum hubs from Kore3 work great with this setup. The rotors as pictured weigh a total of 14# each so along with this hub it's a very light system. These brackets are stainless and an improved design over my first set. (This set of spindles was left bare for powdercoating by the owner.) Again, zinc washing and safety wiring are standard for a race quality setup.

Bleeding: You'll need to bleed both sides starting with the inside piston set. I would slightly crack open both the bleeder screws....MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THE BLEEDER ONLY!!!!; not the other gold one. The bleeder is black in color. Once fluid issues from both bleeders, close the outer one, bleed the inner one and then do it in reverse.

Hey Ed, When you get a chance ; PM me with a price and availibility on the brackets, rotors, hubs and brake lines. I have wilwood calipers already and extra spindles.We have had discussions previously about using stainless brackets and 1le hubs. Maybe I'll switch to the aluminum ! Thanx

Yeah I would say sometimes it took him more than 1 week sometimes 2 but not that often. I think he has a child on the way or something so that may be why he hasnt been around much. I read in another post that he had like 42 PM's at one point. Calling him may be the best bet if you have his number.

Ed, just as a heads up, you've got a PM in your mailbox from me. I'd like to buy one of these setups but I'd like to get it by mid-late June so I have time to put it on before July 21st/22nd (NASA Midwest @ Autobahn Country Club).
Gotta get some bigger brakes on it by then, so far it's been tracks that are easy on brakes, but I burned down the stock ones at Autobahn last year doing 20 minute sessions... this year it's 30 minute races

I dont know what to say except wow . I finally got the car out this weekend. When I did the bleeding I had a really good pedal feel, but my booster was leaking. Got the booster changed but I have a little more travel in the brakes than I would like, but i think I need to go back and bleed again. I have yet to really get a good assesment of the brakes since the car still has a lot of parts in it and everything kept sliding around when I would brake a little hard.
Some a-hole on my friends street thought i was speeding and threw a bottle at my car and I did a panic stop, wound up locking the brakes and left 20 feet of rubber with no problem on 275- 40-17's. May have a little bias problem but I dont know which way yet. I will post back here once I really get to use the brakes.

Yep, it will fit the stock wheels, no spacers regardless of the ride height. All the info regarding this is in the rest of the thread. I've never read a bad thing about Ed Miller or his products and would happily trust any of his many setups.

One last thing, these brakes are LOUD! I mean GT1 car loud. Once they heat up, they squeal like a REAL race brake setup. I'm sure there are things that could be done to quiet them for street use, but with race pads and everything going together dry, they howl like the race brakes I dreamed I'd have.

When you say squeal do you mean like when a regular brake pad indicator rubs on the rotor? Mine make a noise like that and I am just wondering if they are supposed to sound like that. I run these on the street (waaay overkill but they are awesome) and it is a little embarrasing how loud they are when i slowly roll up to a stop light once they have warmed up. If that is just how they are I can live with it, I will just have to brake HARD at evry stop light,
What brake pads are you running? You might want to try something a bit more street-friendly. There was even a vibration issue under braking, which was found to be rotor runout.

I am not sure which pad I am running. I bought some of the parts and Ed bought the rest, including the brake pads. I Pm'ed Ed a couple of times but he didnt get back to me on the last message

Sorry about that..I normally supply Wilwood BP-10 street pads now, with an option for Hawk HPS or more aggressive race pads when asked. You have the WW BP-10 pads, recommended for street use.

what exactly are you looking for as far as rear brakes? I wanted to ditch my rear PBR setup (the pad area is so small!) but changed my mind when I read some of the road racers complaining of brake hop. I'm swapping my prop valve to a Wilwood adjustable unit so I can adjust the rear bias. I'm rebuilding the calipers and loading them with HPS pads. I will probably replace all the lines before my car is back on the road.

I'm 36ASedan, fubar'd that login, but wanted to follow up after a few years of running Ed's brakes.
The only problem I've had with the kit was spitting the right front bearings out at the National race at HPT on Labor Day. Completely my fault. The kit has been so foolproof that I haven't checked the bearings since installing it. Turns out, road racing requires a little attention to the wheel bearings . Lessoned learned.
I'm still running Mintex pads. The shiznit! With minimal cooling, I haven't had brake fade.
I started 11th at this years Runoffs and finished 9th. All with Ed's brakes at a fraction of the cost of some of the other kits out there.
Ed tells me he has some new forged hubs coming soon. I've asked him to sign me up.
