Part number for a bolt on a C4 brake upgrade
I am doing a brake upgrade to C4 HD brakes and need the GM part number of the bolt used to bolt the spindle bracket to the caliper carrier. I believe the bolts are 14mm x 2 thread pitch.
I am almost positive the rear 89+ PBR Camaro discs use the same size bolt on its caliper carrier so I want the dealer to order 4 of these bolts and they could not find a part number for that bolt.

Sorry Luke, I got your PM but haven't replied to you yet. That bolt is GM PN 14084051 ($3.47 at GMPD) and you'll also need the washers for it, PN 10268875 ($2.33 at GMPD). I'd check with Dal and see what he can do for you. It's actually the same one used on the 1LE upgrade that hold the 1LE carrier to the spindle bracket. I posted these bolts in the LS1 thread and also on my brake upgrade page here:

Actually, I have a lot of the Vette bolts on hand and I can send them to you on Monday....Replied to your PM.

Ed,
Thank for the reply. I actually purchased those bolts and washers but though they are to long. Am I missing something? In the picture below you can see even with two washers the bolt is still to long.

I was wondering that after I posted my reply...No, that's correct. The thing is that those bolts were designed to go through either the 1LE bracket or the C4/C5 spindle and then the carrier, and our C4 HD brackets are nowhere near as thick as those factory parts are. My suggestion is to use additional washers like you did or just get some Metric 10.9 bolts and use Loctite or safety wire on them. Those GM bolts are indeed better quality but for our application, they don't seem to work that good. I use M14x 2.0x 35mm bolts with lockwashers and Loctite.
Sorry man...
