My brakes fade like crazy

My stock repacement calipers are a few months old, along with the front pads and SS brake lines. After one stop from 80, and another right after from 60, my brakes were gone. I was thinking about buying any type of tubing to help cool them off. Suggestions?

oh, I forgot to mention the front rotors were replaced also, some cheap 36 dollar ones each from Advance, probably made in Korea or some outsourced company.

"El Cheapo" pads maybe?

Good quality pads can make a big difference. Many of us have used Bendix titanium metallic (MKD-154) for a good stock replacement pad with good results.

Pads, pads, pads..... a good pad will resist fading and feel worlds better than any fancy rotor can help out. Also, how hard were you braking and how much time did you let the brakes cool between stops?

If you were hard on the brakes from 80 all the way to a dead stop then accelerated a 13 second car back to 60 and stood on the brakes again... then I would expect a ton of brake fade and suggest some serious brake work. For now I'll stick with a good pad recomendation, this has been talked about MANY times before.
