Redid the Front Brake System... Now car Pulls to the Left...???

Redid the Front Brake System... Now car Pulls to the Left...???
Today it was gorgous out so i sat down (with a few friends) and redid the entire front brake system
New Calipers, new Rotors, new Bearings (inner and outer), new Seals, new Brake Pads, new Caliper Bolts, new Caliper Line Bolts, hell even new dust caps...
any ways everything went great, we bled the brakes after we finished and took it out......
Now while i drive and i apply the brake the entire car pulls to the left...
so what my thoughts are: I think i have a defective caliper on the right side because it isnt braking equally with the left..I noticed when i bled the brakes the left side flowed much more freely then the right side did...
Additionally, no there is no pinched line, i did not touch the lines aside from removing them from the calipers and putting the new ones in, the pressure washers were installed correctly, and my car didnt do this at all before...
that should answer any questions that might arise...

It sounds more like you have a flexible brake hose that has collapsed internally on the right brake. There have been several posts regarding this problem lately and I have had it happen to me also.

a collapse brake hose....
i kinda like the idea of a defective caliper better....
a new flex hose eh...
how much does that run? will i have to "cut to fit" the hose or should most auto-parts stores carry them???
i hat eit when weekend projects turn to week-long projects...

How many hoses are there? 3? So autozone will carry SSB lines?
I was going to repalce all my hoses w/ oem ones. but if i can pcik them up ssb'd Im going to. anyone know the average price?

There are four hoses for the brakes, I was referring to the standard flexible hoses that they carried. I don't know if they carry the stainless steel braided hoses or not. You would just have to ask them.

SSB Lines--Earl's are about 90.00 = or -.
There is another brnd cheaper through Summitt or Jeg's (don't remember) for about 70.00 something. Pay extra for shipping and it will be there much quicker!

100 for 4 wheel disk system..nice..that complete? no extra fitting n such needed.
my car brakes fine...no sqeeks.. jsut shimmys when brakes applied sometimes..maybe warped rotor?

Ok!!!1......
I got Earls Stainless brake line thing..... put them in.... AND THE CAR STILL PULLS TO THE LEFT......
we thought it was a bad Caliper so since it pulled to the left we took the right caliper in and said it was defective and got it exchanged....
we replaced the caliper... the car still pulls to the left....
now we are thinking it may be a pinched brakeline...i cant see that its pinched anywhere though....
anyone have any ideas? or know if summit or the like sell stainless steel braided brakeliens that are pre-cut?

When was your last wheel alignment, it may be out since you just changed your inner and outer wheel bearings. Misaligned wheels will cause your brakes to pull to one side.

i havent ever had one...
but i doubt its the alignment...
i noticed that in bleeding the brakes... the drivers side flows out very nice and consistant... and the passenger side dribbles out.....

You've replaced the flexible brake line AND the caliper and still have the same problem. I would think your next stop would have to be the brake line. You probably have some kind of trash in the line causing a blockage.
I went through this recently. Actually, mine were more screwed than yours. The left caliper was bad and the right flexible brake line was partially collapsed... When I put on brakes I had no idea which direction it would pull... somehow driving got a lot duller after getting that fixed!

im starting to think its a clogged line as well....
does anyone know if summit or jegs or anyone has pre-cut steel braided lines i can replace them all with?

Bleed that side to excess--may go through a lot of fluid
You may need to go to a shop that has a "power bleeder"--piece that goes on top of master cylinder that hooks up to compressed air and bleed that side and try to flush it out
The fact that it did not do it before you worked on it is what is puzzling! You may need to replace the line/lines as you said.

i think maybe when we were topping off teh master cylinder some debris from our hands got in there or something... ill just take the line off at the master and hook my air compressor up to it and see what happens from there

if it dont cure it ill replace the line, it could be very possible that the line gont pinched/crushed in this process... but i doubt it...
new questions....
When i take the line out of the master cylinder should i plug up the hole i put it in so all the brake fluid dont leak out... and when i plug the line back into the master cylinder, and put the brake fluid in am i going to need to bleed the master cylinder? how do i do that?

Is there any chance the caliper hung by the hose while you were working on it? Sometimes that is enough to finish off borderline hoses.

and ive already pitche dthe old caliper...
i just installed:
New Rotors
New Calipers
Caliper Bolts
Brake Line Caliper Bolt
Inner and Outer Bearings
Rotor Seal
Dust Caps
Replaced the Rubber line with a Steal Braided line (Earls Performance Plumbing)
i think that was stated in the begining of the thread....

tomorrow when i get home im taking a line off and blowing air through it to see if its clogged... if its not... im replacing the line :-/
