LS1 brakes: Anyone know fastener torque specs?

I have not installed the bolts in my LS1 setup with a torque wrench yet.

Does anyone know the recommended torque specs for the caliper carrier to adapter bracket bolts and the caliper to caliper pin bolts?

Oh yeah, how about the adapter to spindle bolts. I have them in now at 90ft/lbs which is what I saw on a page discussing a 1LE swap.

Hi Chuck. I would use those on Dan Burke's webpage as a guide. Since we are using appromixately the same mounting spots as the 1LE mounts, I'd go with those.

I should have mine on next week.

That was my intent but 137ft/lbs for the caliper carrier to adapter bracket seems like a lot of torque. I may try asking around on a 4th gen board to see if one of those guys can tell me some numbers. If I do that I'll let you know what they say.

Not the same, but the BAER PBR rear discs use 120 ft/lbs on the bracket to axle, and 80 ft/lbs from the caliper to bracket.

Dr BBS,
I second Ed's comment. Very good information. I'm glad I asked about the torques specs. 74lb/ft sounds a lot more reasonable for the caliper carrier than the 137 lb/ft 1LE spec.
