The city has been doing construction on the road I live on...its a pretty busy street. They are widening the street, as well as repaving....they dug the ground down about 2 feet...so when going down my driveway, I would go nose first into the rocks they used to bridge the gap. Not only that...but there were HUGE bulges in the old road that would hit every single time....and they are unavoidable. I had my car on a lift to install SFCs...and noticed that my oil pan was dented pretty badly....and my front and side ground effects were scrapped badly and cracked...and the front bumper cover was also cracked. Now....can I hold the city responsible for these damages??? If so, what do I have to do?

I would call your local DOT and see what they say. Your car insurance may even cover it.

Contact the city or the company doing the job and tell them they need to put in some sort of transition between the two roads. On the subject of who is responsible, you are. You cant sue the city for you having a low riding car, and that is what they are going to tell you.
