See the bolts that go through the hood-hinge into the hood? Turn those counterclockwise.

If you take it off by your self. Dont let it knock the crap out of your head.Use a 2x4 or something to hold it up.

Also, be careful, as once you unbolt the hood, it tends to want to slide towards your windshield, and ruin your day.

Hood removal is much easier with two people, and much easier to align the hood, too.

Ever try aligning a hood by yourself?

I'd say have you plus 2 others there just to be safe. Thats a big hood.

I agree with HrdRockA4305 .. one guy holding the hood on each side and another using an air ratchet (or hand rachet for the air-impaired) and get the bolts out. If you have the hood light...don't forget to disconnect that wire!

Same way!

Seriously guys. This isn't the space shuttle. Stare at it for 5 seconds and if it's not totally obvious, you probably shouldn't be trying it anyway. There's 4 lousy bolts that you need to back out. That's it. Just have somebody help you with it and unbolt it one side at a time while you support it with 1 hand, and maybe rest your shoulder on the underside to balance it.

taking the hood off is very easy, just make sure you mark the hood/hinge relation with a marker. it'll save you time lining it back up. there are 4 10mm bolts. Me and a friend swapped the hoods on my camaros today in about 25 mins.
