Convert manual windows to power
Is there a way of converting manual windows to power windows, with out having to replace the whole arm mech. is there a way of just taking the handle out and installing a motor in the door that goes in the same place? granted some fabricating may be required.

I did the manual power swap this summer. I got everything for 70 bucks, the switches the motors and the wiring. I dont know if I would call it easy though. The first one took me all of a saturday, but that included gettin the console out, puttin in the switches and running the wires, and removing the old crank motor and gettin in the new one. I'd have to say the hardest part is puttin in the bolts to hold that thing up. There isnt much room in there to get your hand. I had to have my buddy hold the window and move it around so I could get my fingers in the right spots to put in the bolts. It was a real PITA. BUUUT they work great now. I recomend if you do it, plan on doing it for a few days, and get some grease and grease up the tracks and stuff. Also get some help, I talked to a guy who did it himself and he said it was a real pain, Thank *** for Jim86bird, JPrevost, and ZNutter....

When I first bought my z it had a conversion that consisted of a little "box" that was mounted over the original shaft coming out of the door for the crank windows one on each side in the box was a motor that turned the shaft they worked great but I have since put new doors on which had factory power windows. has anyone else seen these. I am wondering if they are still available and who origannaly made them....
