Can you do it... yes
Is it worth it to have someone do it to your car... doubtful
Will it sacrifice the structure... questionable
Will everone tell you to sell your car & buy a T-top model... definatly
Are T-tops really worth it... not a chance
Should you listen to opinions other than your own.. you decide

Me personally I would just go out and buy a t-top car and keep your current car.I know of a few companies that do a t top converson. KITT does it I think and they charge 1,500 for just taking off your hardtop and putting the t top onto the car.It goes up to 7,000 dollars to do have the car bondo'ed and the t's put on and get the whole car painted.

I put one in on mine back in 1990. It cost $2500.
Since you want to install it a 10 year old car I wouldn't do it.
Just not worth it. Besides you have to find the kit and find someone to install it.

Sorry to say but should have got a t-top car. much easier.
I don't know if this comment was made about t-tops in general or adding t-tops to a non t-top car, but. T-top are definently worth it, I would get t-tops efore i get power locks.
