Dash Pad

I got a new used dash pad for my Camaro in the middle of december. Today I went in my car and it's cracked. I recently moved it behind my fence facing the sun. I'm guessing that could have caused it to crack. I had Armor All on it, but that didn't do anything. A new dash pad would be good but I don't want it to crack again. What could I do to stop the next one from crackign also? I don't plan on getting it until after I finish my new engine though.

The cracks occur because of changes in temperature, from what I understand. My car had a really small crack in it from the sun, and it split an extra 1.5" on a really cold day. I was actually driving the car at the time, and I heard it split. Armor all helps, but its not gonna stop it from cracking. Park the car in the shade when you can, or get one of those folding covers for you dash (I can't believe I can't remember what they are called right now). Some of them look kind of fruity, but it will help. By the way, where did you get the new dashpad? I've been looking for a new one.

I got the dash pad from IROCZDAVE@aol.com. It hasn't been that cold out lately, but it has seemed really sunny.

check out www.ebaymotors.com I picked mine up from there. Also search the classifieds on this site. Or if you want one with a 5" crack, I'll sell you mine

something to remember about using armor all.. it takes the mosture out of the dash pad.. it could make it crack if u use it then stop.. if u use it, keep using it. dont stop..
