White Face Gauges.....
Hey guys... had to go ahead and start another post on this topic--- The ones I found in the search were somewhat informative-- until people starting bickering. ANYWAYS---
(1985 Trans Am LG4 5 speed)
I currently have an 85 mph speedo... It's useless... I'm not even out of 4th gear and it's pinned, lol. SO i want to increase the speed while i make the gauges look better-- 2 questions.
I've found that (somehow) you can change the 85 mph speedo to 105... How are you supposed to do this? Someone said just add numbers on... So are you telling me that the current 85 is pinned where the templates read 85? And the remaining 20 mph is just there for kicks? Ok, so if that's true, what's to stop it from just getting pinned @ 85 anyways??
Furthermore, with regard to gauge lights... am i correct in my assumtion that the light shines around the edges of the gauge? So, i change the back and they'll still work at night, right??
thanks

I am not sure about trans am gauges, but I think there is space left over, so you add the numbers you want, and I am assuming there is a pin you remove like on the tach, to let the needle keep moving

So you take the pin out so you can't pin it anymore... okkkk I'll take a look and see if that makes sense. What about the lights, anyone who has installed white faces on their stock T/A gauges???
Thanks
Thanks
