4th Gen Formula Seats Worth The $$$?
Hey Everyone...
I just wanted to ask an opinion from everybody...I found a set of 4th Gen Formula Seats, they are cloth...fronts and rears for $250 dollars. They are not power seats. I just wanted to get an opinion if this price is relatively fair. From the picture I saw, they look very clean, and dont seem to have any rips. What does everyone think? Thanks.

I paid 600.00 for black leather 6 way power seats . They look great in the car . Condition is everything. I have seen cloth seats that are like new for 400.00 Good luck

Saywhut...
Those look bad@$$ man!!! NICE job!! The ones for $250 look good...I mean, REAL good....I just am torn...and so are my '86 seats...so right now i have these crappy seatcovers over them...i really like the leather, however, i am on a tight @$$ budget right now, and cant really spend 400+ for leather.....if i was going to do the leather ones, they would have to be power too. Eventually, I plan on swapping in a 98+ TA dash, console, and door panels. I know, it will be a PITA, but I think it will be worth all the blood sweat and tears in the end.

Have you checked on getting yours recovered?
Might be cheaper for now, work till you get 4th gen stuff, & still be able to get some of your money back.
I'd say under $200 for both fronts would be reasonable.

If you are planning on making other changes I would wait. It's hard to wait sometimes but it will be worth it in the long run. My car is apart now and has been and will be till it's done. Every time I rush or hurry anything it is never quite right. Now my car is a fourth car and there is always something here to drive. If your car is your only wheels fix her as you can. Do the best you can with what you have. It's an F body thats all that counts.

I havent checked on getting mine recoverd...I figured I'd just get the 4th Gen seats altogether...they are much more comfortable. But you guys are probably right....eventually, as time and $$ permit, like I said, I will be pretty much doing a complete 4th Gen interior swap into my 86...dash, console, door panels, monsoon system, and of course, the seats. I will also want to get new carpeting for the interior of the car. Maybe it would be a better idea for me to wait. I just got excited since even alot of the foam has come out of my seats....I saw these, and they are soooooo comfortable...I dunno....I am still thinking about it...this car IS my daily driver for now....until I get my Jeep, thats all I have. The C5 is a show/race car only. I guess after I get my Jeep, I can start working on the TA...or just do a little at a time...I found one place that sells a 4th Gen dash for $150. I am sure that doesnt come with the radio, or the ac/heater controls. Still...that I dont think is too bad of a price for that. This car will turn into a project car in the near future, and eventually, It will have some sort of new crate motor in it too. I plan on it being a show car also. I have visions.....many many many visions.... :lala:
I really do appreciate everyone's input though. This will help me go about decided what to do and what not to do next. Thanks again.
