Camel (tan) interiors

Camel (tan) interiors
Doesn't seem to be the popular way to go on this board. I love camel and would ideally like to go for 4th Gen seats or Recaro's. I would also like to change from cloth to leather.
Anyone done similar? This is my interior at the moment;
Any guidance, advice or ideas?

I have/had a tan interior in my Z28, everything is out of it now... but, since the carpet is so destroyed, I'm getting brand new carpet. I just visited the local Junkyard and found a set of Grey and Black 4th Gen seats in PERFECT condition. My cars color scheme is Black Louvers-Wheels-Dash-Novelty Liscense Plate-Headlight inserts-Tint/White Body/Gold GFX, so, even if I get the Tan Carpet again, the Black & Grey 4th Gen Seats would match my scheme (Some What). But now I'm debating weather to go black on the GFX and get Black carpet and black headliner (And painting my tan interior peices black or grey). Uggggg, I dunno!!! Thats just what I'm doin, but I'm in the ZACT Same situation. But if they match your color scheme, then it may look really good if you get a set of seats like the Black and Grey (Your Dash is Black, you console is black... ETC ETC) but I dunno, just a thought.

I really like tan with certain exterior colors. I like the tan in my '88 IROC enough, that I plan on making the interior monochrome tan and chrome Even the gauges.

Just use 1 component paint to paint those interior pieces.
It has stayed on in my car now for about 6 months and still no sign of any cracks or anything alike. To be on the safe side use a elastic base coat primer.
I didn´t, but I suppose it may have some effect in the long run.
Voops I forgot.

You can use the Firebirds leather interior if you want, it fits right in without any bigger mods, only some drilling of new bolt holes, no biggi.
By the way. Paint that dash cover to tan it makes a hugh difference.

Here is mine.. It's nice to see others with this color.. I plan on doing some tweeks here and there to make it better..
No rips or tears anywhere.. some of the plastic panels have some cracks but I'm having them fixed next month. locating panels in perfect shape is not easy.hence why I'm fixing them. plus I'm not a huge fan of painting panels.. But I may have to for the one that covers the hatch bolts on the ceiling..

From the looks of it man, I'd say nope.. Not Beechwood.. the plastic parts are not dark enough . . Here is a color sample of beechwood plastic.. I color matched it as close as I could after scanning it.. Hopfully it'll look close to the same on everyones PC.

There are 2 basic carpaints, one is a 2 component and the other one is a 1 component. The major difference between them is that the 1 component dryies slower and remains a little elastic.
Both can be mixed to the color you want by your carpaint dealer.
Don´t know what brands you´ve got there but here´s some ex.
Spies&Hecker, Ppg, Du Pont, Belton, Multona.
Hope this helps.
