Just to clear things up. According to this website http://www.webelectricproducts.com/products.htm
if you click on "daytime running lights" it will tell you that these are the bright parking lights when both elements are lit. Parking lights are when only one element is lit and your lights aren't as bright.
edit: it doesn't say anything...but making both elements lit is how they do it.

Well, i actually took at the blue bulbs because the blue coating burned off. I'll probably put blue leds in someday. i might even try white leds.
actually i think i'm going to experiment with leds. I do kind of miss having some light.

so DRL=Daytime Running Lights=Parking Lights

Parking lights, you would have to turn on and off manually.

Nope, DRLs are different I believe. DRL- front turn signals are always high and flash low then high when turn signals are on. Our cars are always low and flash high then low when signals are on. Its some weird catch like that, I can't remember off the top of my head and I could just be entirely off mark, its been a while.

DRL = Daytime Running Lights.
Daytime running lights are when your headlights (or parking lights) come on as soon as you start your car. They come on for you, you don't press a button, nothing. They are always on as long as your car is on, except when you turn on your headlights or parking lights VIA the switch on the dash. DRLs are what you see when you drive down the street in the middle of the day and see people with their headlights/parking lights on............

Bleh, I'm just going to wire in a 97+ body control module into the harness on my GTA, keyless entry, theater lighting and alarm built into one little box.

I am new to F-Bodies and in my searches I found this thread, and was wanting more information, would you suggest that I should have started a new thread?

ok DRL do not light up the rear lights like you guys think its more then just the manually turning on and off of your parking lights...its the front 2 parking lights that are on only...On the newer vettes and camaros that comes in mind they also look brighter then our cars if our parking lights where on in the daytime...
I love DRL id love to have them i use my parking lights in cloudy weather most the time and morning/evening hours as i dont like headlights with them as much.
