Serious Help Required

I am in a weird situation. I found a kit car for the camaro F-body style. To raise money, I was pondering the idea of selling the old camaro body. It is a 84 Z28 t-top in truly excellent condition. Not dents, dings, and definetly no bondo. Only 2 very small rust spots. The chassis is striaght and the car has a clean title so it has definetly never been wrecked. The t-tops are in mint condition. Would this sell at auction be it on Ebay or elsewhere or do you know where I could sell it? Or are any of you interested? Any and all info. regarding this would be greatly appreciated.Post responses here or email them to me at PBPhreak@yahoo.com Thanks a lot.....Frank

what kit did you find for your car???? i ask b/c majority of kit cars are just new panels that are grafted on over the existing pieces (like the K1 Evoluzione kit)

as far as trying to sell the body, i would say that your best bet is prolly e-bay or other online automotive sales and parts sites. hope this helps.

peace,
menace

Car: too many ...
actually, the K1 kit is a full body replacement with fiberglass panels. you unbolt the stock parts and bolt on the fiberglass. looks aside the kit is a good swap in my opinion because after you swap all that heavy metal with the fiberglass the car weighs in at around 2900 pounds!! unbelieveable!!! sorry I dont really have anything usefull to add to this post besides that you will be lucky to find someone interested in just the bodypanels off your car muchless someone that would pay good money for it. sorry man our cars are just too old these days ...

The front bumper & spoiler & both front fenders create the front clip (one “U” piece) and along with the front hood are replaced using the original attachments. The rear bumper & lower spoiler & both rear fenders & side air-scoops create the rear clip (the rear “U” piece) and along with the rear hatch glass cover and door (skin) panels are bonded right over stock body, using epoxy, or urethane compound. The rocker panels with side spoilers attached to the body and are reinforced with metal brackets.

WOWOWOWOW!!!!

I just visited the site. It is AWESOME!!!! I am so going to get this kit by any means. I have a t-top 84 Camaro and this should be awesome looking. I am going to drop it roughly 2" around as they "recommend" for a seriously aggressive look. they say they sell a kit for like $5,600 which aint much at all...wow once again.

Actually...

I heard it lowers the weight of the car. Now, I am not sure what everyone is talking about in one aspect. I went to the sight and am a bit confused myself. Is this simply a "cover kit" or do you literally replace the stock steel panels? If they are replaced, you will get a lot better HP to weight distribution. Not sure about much, if any aerodynamic changes. Although it would definetly look a ton better.

Well, the entire front clip is REPLACED, your rear hatch will stay, just a cover put on it. As for the rear quarters, Im not sure on that one. And the weight difference wont be that much different at all.
